GENERAL SUMMARY

Duty First Consulting is seeking a Healthcare Data Analyst to join a large healthcare-related business operations support contract. The team is seeking a driven individual with excellent critical thinking skills and high attention to detail who has a desire to work on complex data tasks, enjoys working in a fast-paced and regularly changing environment, and can effectively manage competing priorities. ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Providing operational support in a variety of capacities, including data integrity, quality assurance, monitoring, and reporting
  • Supporting efforts to develop processes for data quality assurance and reporting
  • Providing viable reference material for users by writing and maintaining user documentation
  • Developing and delivering presentations on findings internally and to clients
  • Assisting in planning, organizing, and coordinating various projects, programs, and services involving diverse administrative operations
  • Maintaining client confidence and protecting operations by maintaining information confidentiality
  • Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends of large datasets
  • Manipulating and analyzing data using SQL, SAS, or Python
  • Writing MS Excel formulas for a variety of scenarios and generating pivot tables

 QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Advanced level experience in the MS Excel skills listed above is required
  • 1-4 years professional working experience
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Strong analytical skills, presentation development, and writing skills
  • Ability to work well in a team-based environment
  • Ability to work independently and develop client relationships
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail and a commitment to client service excellence
  • Ability to obtain a US government security clearance is required
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in the US for any employer, as sponsorship is not available for this position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS 

  • Federal government experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of databases and programming languages such as SQL, SAS, R, or Python

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, finance, statistics, or a related field
